Doris Marie Shank Rhines Doris Marie Shank Rhines, 89, passed away peacefully, early Sunday morning, August 22nd, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sheffield, OH to Maynard and Mabel (Dangler) Shank. Doris was employed by GE for over 40 years. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, most recently with the Shiloh Chapter No. 153 in Northeast, PA and a 50 year member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She was known for her generosity and love of cooking. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rhines in 2004 and seven brothers and sisters. Doris is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Wendy Rhines, Greensboro, NC; granddaughter, Holly Rhines, Washington, DC; grandson, Kyle Rhines, Greensboro, NC; her sister, Dorothy Rau, Conneaut, OH; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and good neighbors. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, on Friday, August 27th from 7-9 p.m. and are invited to a celebration of her life on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. with services following at the funeral home. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Services, 1111 Huffman Mill Rd., Ste. 102, Burlington, NC 27215.
