Obituary of Donald Rhollans

Donald Wesley Rhollans Donald W. Rhollans of Millcreek, passed away at home on Thursday, March 29, 2012. He was born on January 22, 1928, in Niles, OH to Arthur and Mary Rhollans. His family moved to Cincinnati, OH in 1936. He graduated from Hughes High School and the University of Cincinnati. Don served in the Ohio National Guard and the U.S. Army. He was married to Ruth Rathman on December 12, 1959. They moved to Erie, PA in October 1967. He worked for Hammermill Paper Co. and in private practice. He was a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio and PA. Don was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church where he was an usher for 36 years. He had been a member of the Millcreek MYAA, Indian Guides, Erie Kiwanis, and he and Ruth enjoyed camping and square dancing for many years. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Robert of Albany. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and sons; James (wife Nancy) of Sylvania, OH and Daniel of Erie. Also three grandchildren: Lindsay of Cincinnati, OH, Mary of New Mexico, and Daniel of Sylvania, OH. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and are invited there on Monday for a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
