Obituary of Kyle Rohan

Please share a memory of Kyle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kyle Thomas Rohan Kyle Thomas Rohan, 29, died at 11:25 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle tragic accident on Erie's Bayfront Highway. Kyle was born December 15, 1882 in Erie, Pennsylvania where he was a lifelong area resident. He attended Our Lady of Christian School and was a 2001/2002 graduate of McDowell High School. He worked as an Assembler at Eriez Magnetics. He was a motor-cross racer traveling across the east coast competing in the CAN-AM Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC Series) and the American Woods Racing Champion Series (AWRCS) where he was a top 10 finisher in every race. He enjoyed dirt-bike riding, camping, fishing, kayaking, going to outdoor music concerts, traveling, and most of all spending his time with family and friends. Kyle was the loving son of Pattilee (Wiley) and Thomas Rohan, the only brother to his sister, Renee Parker, and her husband, Brydon, a niece, MacKenzie Parker, and nephew/godson, Brady Parker, of Seattle, Washington. He also is survived by aunt/godmother, Maryanne Riazzi, aunts and uncles to include: Anna and David Wiley, Nancy and Daniel Wiley, Jeff Wiley, Pattie Cochran, Sheri and Rick Rohan, and Kathy and Dennis Rohan. He is further survived by several cousins. Kyle was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Isabel (Grace) and David B. Wiley, paternal grandparents Miriam "Mim" (Martin) and George Rohan, and Uncles Joseph A. Riazzi and Dennis Cochran. If Kyle's legacy proves to us anything, it would be that the only way to embrace every opportunity from life is to view it as an adventure. Kyle's life was not a destination, but a journey that started and ended with the intent to touch the lives of the ones he loved through the constant smile on his face. May his legacy forever race through every heart he touched. Remember, every race has an end and we will all see him again in the winner's circle. Friends may gather at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and again from 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a prayer service there on Monday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. John Detisch. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Contributions/memorials in memory of Kyle may be made to the Kyle T. Rohan Racing Fund c/o Thomas Rohan and Renee Parker, 1316 Potomac Ave., Erie, PA 16505. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
