Betty Rupert Betty A. Rupert, age 84, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Fairview Manor. She was born in Greensburg, PA on June 18, 1927, daughter of the late John Roland and Agnes Norman Barber. Betty was an active member and former Deacon of Wayside Presbyterian Church. She was also a member and Past Matron of Gridley Chapter #324 O.E.S. and a Former Deputy of District 1A. . She had also participated for many years with LA Sertoma. Betty's greatest joy was time with her family and friends. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Donald F. Rupert, her beloved children, Jane Gilewicz (Peter) of Erie, Carol Sechrist (James) of York, PA and Donald F. Rupert, Jr. (Kathryn) of Shelbyville, Ky., 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, plus one soon to be born, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Mae Reimer Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. , on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Keith Sundberg. Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital For Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, Pa. 16505. Gridley Chapter #324 will hold a service at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30p.m. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
