Ruth E. Fullerton Russell
Ruth E. "Putch" Russell, age 81, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Manor-East. She was born in Erie on January 8, 1931, the daughter of the late, Oscar and Ruth Disbrow Fullerton, Sr. She was employed at G.C. Murphy's and was a member of the Kearsarge Church of God. She was a care-giver for her parents.
Ruth is survived by one sister, Alice Shallenberger (George) of Millcreek Twp., one brother, James Fullerton, Sr. (Patricia) of Franklin Twp., one sister-in-law, Betty Fullerton of Tyler, TX, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Russell, two brothers; Richard and Oscar, Jr. Fullerton, one niece, Lou Ann Comer, one sister-in-law, Patricia Fullerton, two great nephews; Nathaniel and Gabriel Fullerton, and one step great nephew, Elijah Comer.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Monday, December 31, at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Lamech Marsh. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16501.
