Nick Salvatore Nick Salvatore, age 89, of Erie, died Friday, February 22, 2008 at the James Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa FL after a brief illness. He was born on February 21, 1919 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late John and Mary Salvatore. He served for four years in the US Air Force during WWII. He was owner of Salvatore Builders and part owner of Salvatore Motors. He was an avid golfer. Nick was a man of respect and never uttered a harsh word. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Susie Salvatore, two sisters, Anna Barber, Florence Salvatore Christopher, and one brother, Anthony Salvatore. One son, Doug Salvatore of Erie, two beloved grandsons, Doug A. and Dave Salvatore, one brother, John Salvatore and one sister, Mary Mulhalski, survive Nick. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for prayers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament for masses, 1626 West 26th. St. Erie, PA 16508-1298.
