Frank H. Salzer Frank H. Salzer, age 89, died on June 27, 2008 in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Erie on April 12, 1919, son of the late Frederick and Marie Pildner Salzer. Frank served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII as a B-17 pilot. He completed 32 missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Frank retired with the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and bowler. His wife, Doris Sturgeon Salzer, and four brothers: Carl, Ernest, John, and William Salzer, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Robert Salzer, of Cripple Creek, Colorado; his daughter, Jane Salzer Richter and her husband, Dwaine, of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Matilda Dudenhoefer, of Erie; one brother, Robert Salzer, of Akron, Ohio, and a host of family members and friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service conducted by Pastor Al Detter at Laurel Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Road, McKean, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Association of the Rockies, 1325 South Colorado Blvd., Suite 204-B, Denver, CO 80222.
