Gerald J. Seidl Gerald J. Seidl, age 79, of Millcreek Twp., died Monday, August 9, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. He was born in Erie, PA on March 26, 1931, the son of the late, Joseph and Loretta Jones Seidl. He served in the US Army in the 817th Engineer Aviation Battalion in England. He retired from GE after twenty years as an electrical technician. He was licensed with the FCC registered amateur radio, and enjoyed photography, ham radio, scuba diving, flying, GEO caching and various other interests. He is survived by his wife of many years, Vivian I. Seidl, two sons; Gerald P. Seidl, Bradley D. Seidl (Lita), one daughter, Sheila J. Anderson (Robert), one sister, Marilyn (Seidl) Martin, one brother, Donald Seidl, grandchildren: Taunia Kennedy, Lyzel Ahlgren, Bo and Jeremy Anderson, and Vivien Celine Gambill. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Seidl, one sister, Virginia Tucholski, one daughter, Pamela Seidl, and a grandson, Joshua. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
