Marlene V. Shellito Marlene V. Shellito, age 77, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011. She was born in Erie on January 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Mary (Herbst) Bobonic. Marlene was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy, Gannon University, and Edinboro University. She retired from the Erie School District where she was an Assistant Principal, counselor, and teacher. She was a devoted Associate of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Northwestern PA and an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, being a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Marlene was a member, and held many offices with the American Association of University Women (Erie Branch), Erie Maennerchor Club, Woman's Club of Erie, and PA Association of School Retirees. She was the 3rd Congressional District Representative for "We the People", and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Marlene loved life and treasured her family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harvey; children: Greg, Morgantown, WV, Lisa Danielczyk (Bob), Erie, Jude (Maureen), Cleveland, OH, Megan Porter (Terry), Erie, eight grandchildren: Laraine Wilson, Barbara Shellito, Christopher and Jonathan Danielczyk, Kristen and Nathan Shellito, Shelby and Marissa Porter, three great-grandchildren: Brayden Danielczyk, Andrew Morgan, and Anna Wilson. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. today (Fri.) from 4 until 9 p.m. and are invited to St. Jude R.C. Church on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by the Rev. Thomas Brooks. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
