Richard J. Slupski Richard J. Slupski "Pio", age 69, of Erie, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Twinbrook Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Erie on October 20, 1940 the son of the late, John and Stella Donikowski Slupski. He was employed at Gene Davis Sales and Service. He was a life-time member of the Fulton and Slovak Clubs. He enjoyed bowling and was a true fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He is survived by his wife, Janet F. Balkovic Slupski, three daughters: Deborah Butcher (Jeffery), Susan Sturdivant (Patrick), Christina Slupski (Jason), two sons; Richard Slupski, Jr. (Cindy), and Michael Slupski, one sister, Shirley A. Froehlick, two brothers; Paul and Stanley Slupski, eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Slupski. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday (today) from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Private interment.
