Obituary of Shirley Bosner

Shirley M. Smith Bosner Shirley M. Smith Bosner, age 85, of Millcreek Twp. (West Lake Woods Assisted Living Community) died on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge. She was born in Erie on May 13, 1923 the daughter of the late L.W. and M. Cordelia Smith. Shirley was a life-long Erie resident and worked as a secretary at Hammermill and Hagmann Reality. She was a member of the Siebenbuerger Ladies Auxiliary and Holy Rosary Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will always be remembered for her "two-story" chocolate cake. She is survived by her husband, George W. Bosner, and children: Gregory A. Bosner and his wife, Sylvia, Judy Marsteller and her husband, Tim, Debbie Miaczynski and her husband, Rick, and Christopher Bosner and his wife, Judy. Nine grandchildren also survive: Jennifer Lyons, Douglas Bosner, Courtney Marsteller, Ashley Marsteller, Tenley Marsteller, Emily Miaczynski, Julie Miaczynski Carolyn Miaczynski, and Katie Bosner, and 2 great-grandchildren, Noah and Amelia Lyons. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allison M. Bosner. Friends are invited to call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. for a prayer service followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church, 2701 East Ave., Erie, PA 16504 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church or to the Sacred Heart League, 650 Highway 161, Walls, Mississippi 38686-6500.
