Harold V. "Knobby" Snyder
Harold V. "Knobby" Snyder, age 83, of West Springfield, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Erie Veterans' Affairs Medical Center. He was born on July 20, 1925 in Degascahonda, PA, the son of the late Lewis and Stella Snyder.
Harold was a life-long Erie resident. He was a truck driver for Eazor Express, a member of the Teamsters' Union, enjoyed model trains, horseshoes, playing Wii, and puzzles.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hylda Tome Snyder, one son, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Snyder of Charlotte, NC, two daughters, Barbara Snyder and Diane Snyder both of West Springfield, and one grandson, Dale Snyder. He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Private services at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Hospice, c/o Erie Veterans' Affairs Medical Center, 135 East 38th St. , Erie, PA 16504.
