Obituary of Theresa Snyder

Theresa Lucy Lewis Snyder Theresa L. Lewis Snyder, age 87, a resident of Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at UPMC-Hamot, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1925 in Erie, the daughter of the late, Elmer and Florence Barron Lewis. She had been employed at Nielson's Rating Service and was a member of Lakeshore Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She was a member of St. Julia R. C. Church. Theresa enjoyed knitting, flowers, plants, bingo, cards, and she cherished all her grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Snyder, Sr., in 1987, and two brothers; John and James Lewis. She is survived by her children: Darlene Reitinger (Kenneth) of Erie, Susanne Wilkins (Charles) of Anderson, SC, Betty McKnight of Erie, Terri Peterson of Erie, Joseph Snyder, Jr. (Jen) of Girard, Ronald Snyder (Linda) of Platea, two brothers; Lawrence Lewis (Mary) of Erie, Elmer Lewis (Peggy) of Erie, her long-time companion, Ben Kuhn, sixteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. for prayers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
