Helen T. Soltys Helen T. Prugar Soltys, age 88, of Millcreek Twp. died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge. She was born on March 3, 1920 in Cleveland, OH and raised in Corry, PA, the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Prugar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Benedict S. Soltys, on July 5th, 2004. and a daughter, Barbara (Soltys) Nagy. Also preceding her in death were six brothers: Joseph, Stanley, John, Walter, Edward, and Frank Prugar. Survivors include a sister, Agnes (Leofsky) Bazant, one son, Gregory Soltys and his wife, Cynthia, of Edinboro, and a grandson, Benedict McCracken of Hyannis, MA. In addition to being a homemaker, she had also worked at York Steak House, Elbys, GE, Griswold Foundry, and Aero Supply in Corry. Friends are invited to call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. and are invited there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George R.C. Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery, Crossingville, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Ministries218 E. 11th St., Erie, PA 16503.
