Ralph L. Sonney
Ralph L. Sonney, age 82, of Millcreek Twp., died in his home on Friday, March 25, 2011 following a long illness. He was born in Erie, PA, the son of the late Donald and Minerva Sonney.
He was a Korean War veteran and retiree of AMSCO Corp. He loved to hunt, skeet shoot, and won many awards for cross-stitching.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, David, and brothers, Paul and Robert. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Helen, his sons: Charles (Julia), Jeffrey (Nancy) both of Millcreek, Mark of Erie, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one sister, Juanita of New York state, five brothers: Gene (Rose), Dale (Betty), James "Joe" (Shirley), Dennis "Butch" (Barbara), John (Diane), and many nieces and nephews.
Following Mr. Sonney's wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. will be handling the arrangements.
