Thelma J. Stroup Thelma J. Stroup, age 87, passed away on September 11, 2009. She was a resident of Pleasant Ridge Manor-East for two and a half years. She was born in Karthus, PA on September 10, 1922, the daughter of the late, Raymond and Rena Rauch. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Stroup on October 7, 1980. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Shirley VanDusen of Linesville, PA and Linda Morse of Erie, three sisters: Rachel, Ermie, and Helen, and one brother, Paul. Thelma was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and baking for her family. She enjoyed going to bingo with her daughters. She is survived by two sons, Ron and his wife, Marlene, of Erie and Leslie and his wife, Patricia, of Pinellas Park, FL, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday for the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund at Pleasant Ridge Manor-East, 4728 Lake Pleasant Rd., Erie, PA 16504. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
