Obituary of John Suprynowicz

John Suprynowicz John Suprynowicz, of Erie, passed away at the dear old age of 99 years at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center on Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born in Erie on February 8, 1914 the son of the late, Joseph and Stephania Nietupski Suprynowicz. John had resided at 1322 East 38th Street for over 65 years. He was employed at Zurn Industries for 42 years only missing 4 days of work the entire time. He was a member of the Zukor Club, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church and was a founding member of the Zurn Credit Union with the distinction of being member #1. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren at his hunting camp and properties. John had never been to a doctor or hospital until he experienced a fall one year ago. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean Staszewski Suprynowicz, three sisters, and three brothers. John is survived by two sons; Ronald J. Suprynowicz, Sr. (Jane), of McKean Twp., Robert D. Suprynowicz (Shirley), of Millcreek Twp., one sister, Josephine Jackson, of Berwyn, PA, six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
