William Swanson
William "Bill" Swanson, age 60, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his Millcreek Twp. residence after a brief illness. He was born in Erie on December 27, 1949, the son of the late William H. Swanson and Joyce E. Swanson Grygier.
He served in the US Army and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Sharpshooters Award. He was employed at Steris Corp. until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Lapp Swanson, two daughters; Shelly Kupfer (Adam) of Millcreek, Amy Marzka (Brian) of North East, one sister, Linda Higbee (John) of Huntersville, NC, five grandchildren: Graydon and Regan Kupfer and Breana, Megan, and Lucas Marzka.
The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling private arrangements.
