Leo J. Symeki
Leo J. Symeki, age 85, of Erie, PA, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Erie on October 28, 1922, the son of the late Leo and Catherine Sobucki Szymecki. He was a life long Erie resident. He was employed at Erie Plating for forty-eight years until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Susan Snyder, Gary Symeki, and Donald Szymecki; two sisters, Teresa Shelly and Julian "Betty" Jezioski; one brother, Ray Szymecki, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service there at 2:00 p.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Autism Association of Pennsylvania, 522 Hackman Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
