Patty L. Houck Sypin Patty L. Sypin, age 68, of Millcreek Twp., died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Golden Living-Western Reserve after a brief illness. She was born on June 20, 1942, in Indiana, PA, the daughter of Evelyn Long Krause of Girard and the late Willis O. Houck. She was a graduate of Girard High School and was employed at a number of motels as a maid. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Girard and enjoyed bingo and garage saling. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sypin, Sr. She is survived by her son, Kenneth J. Sypin (Denise) of Millcreek, her sister, Lois Werst (David) of Leesburg, FL, two grandchildren; Brittany and Cory Sypin, two nieces; Sue Wessner and Brenda Pittsenbarger, and two nephews, Randy and Rob Northrop. Friends may call the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 1:00 pm. until the time of service there at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Nicola Vitiello. Private interment, Girard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Suite 216, Erie, PA 16501.
