Bennett "Ben" P. Thorndill Bennett "Ben" P. Thorndill, age 71, of Millcreek Twp. and Coudersport, PA died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his Coudersport residence. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Rome, NY, the son of the late Frank D. and Jean Payne Thorndill. He was a graduate of Ohio University. In the 70's and 80's he owned and operated Thorndill Business Machines. Most recently he was the owner of the Golf Club from which he retired in 2005. He was a longtime member of the Lake View Country Club and the Professional Golf Club Makers' Association. He was an avid golfer and a renowned golf club maker. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores "Dee" Thorndill who died in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Karen A. Wolfinger, and her husband, Shawn; three grandsons: Kevin, Matt, and Aaron Wolfinger; and his dog, Shadow. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA, on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service there at 5:00 p.m. conducted by Monsignor John Hagerty. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
