Alfred J. "Fred" Tuholski
Alfred J. "Fred" Tuholski, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Fairview Manor. He was born in Erie on October 1, 1922, the son of the late, Lawrence and Viola (Dombrowski) Tuholski.
He worked in the CC Camps in the state of Washington, in the construction of Shelan State Park, where he was also a forest fire-fighter and a survivalist. He was employed by Zurns for over 40 years, retiring as a crane operator. He was an avid fisherman and a member of S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie, and loved Bluegrass music and camping trips with his beloved wife, "Millie". In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and Joseph Tuholski and sisters, Mary (Tuholski) and Stella (Konieczko).
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn "Millie" Tuholski; his son, Frederick Tuholski (Elaine); his daughter, Mary Margaret Gloskey (Richard); 4 grandsons, Robert and Brian Gloskey, Steven (Donna) and James (Heather) Tuholski, 4 great granddaughters: Nicole and Heather (Gloskey), Stefanie and Katlyn (Tuholski), one great grandson, Nicholas (Tuholski). He is further survived by his sisters, Lucy (Benek) and Harriet (Sarbak) and many nieces and nephews.
Private viewing was held for the immediate family on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
