Dorothy New Turner Dorothy New Turner, age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Wellington, KY. after an extended illness. She was born in Breathitt County, KY on April 19, 1918, the daughter of the late, Willie and Jane Deaton New. She retired from Coyne Industrial Laundry in 1980 and was a member of Church of God. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arnold Turner and Coy D. Turner, four brothers: Arlie, Andrew, Lewis David and William New, two children; Margaret Oaks Platt and Carolyn Turner, five grandchildren; Jerry Lynn Oaks, Kenneth Charles Oaks, Shawn Edward Turner, Teresa Lois Turner and Sherry Gale Oaks. Dorothy is survived by two sons; Charles W. (Julia) Turner and James E. (JoAnn) Turner of McKean, PA, one daughter, Eula J. (Kenneth) Roe of Wellington, KY, one stepdaughter, Marilyn (Thomas) Clayton, of Los Alamos, NM, one sister, Dora Mae (James) Allen of Lexington, KY, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. James Allen, from Lexington, KY. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Claire Hospice and Palliative Care, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
