Doris K. Wellington Doris K. Wellington, age 88, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge following a lengthy illness. She was born in McLane, PA on September 28, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Ruth Compton Nickerbocker. She was a resident of Erie for her entire life. She was employed at K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison E. Wellington, who died in 1991; one son, Donald Wellington; one daughter, Sandra Wellington; and three brothers. She is survived by three sons: John Wellington, (Roberta) of Millcreek Twp., Charles Wellington (Micki) of McKean Twp., and Michael Wellington (Phyllis) of Summit Twp.; two brothers; four grandchildren: Shannon, Ashlee, Timothy, and Caroline; and six great grandchildren: Alex, Justin, Arionna, Manuel, Gabirella, and Shaunessy. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA. Friends are invited there at 10:00 a.m. on Friday for the funeral service conducted by Reverend David Jenkins. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society & Clinic of Erie, 6023 Overlook Drive, Erie, PA 16505.
