Margaret Crossley Whitford Margaret Crossley Whitford, age 93, of Erie, died Saturday May 3, 2008 at Forestview Health Care Center. She was born in Jamestown, NY on September 12, 1914, the daughter of the late Fred and Matilda Englewood Crossley. She had resided in Erie since 1943. She was a member of Summit United Methodist Church, the Women's Society, and the Betsy Ross Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was employed at the Boston Store for 27 years prior to her retirement. Her husband, E. Maxwell Whitford in 1976, two daughters, Margaret Joan and Shirley Ann Whitford, and three brothers, Fred Jr., Charles, and Don Crossley preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis K. Levosky and her husband, Glenn, of Millcreek, Sue Goellner and her husband, Edward, of Summit Twp., one son, James M. Whitford and his wife, Barbara, of Millcreek, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to Summit United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Lee Pomeroy. Interment Sunset Hill Cemetery, Jamestown, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Summit United Methodist Church, 1510 West Townhall Rd., Erie, PA 16509 or the charity of one's choice.
