Byron A. Brocious
Byron "Barney" A. Brocious, age 96, of Millcreek Twp., died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1914 in Mayport, PA, the son of the late, George E. and Elsie Snyder Brocious.
He was employed at Zurn Industries and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Eshbaugh Brocious, three children; Ida Lutz, Byron A. Brocious, Jr. and Ralph E. Brocious and his wife, Susan, all of Erie, one sister, Hazel Bish, of VA, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight brothers: John, Linus, Wallace, Quay, Paul, Grant, Dwight and Elvin Brocious.
Friends are invited to Erie County Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, July 20, from 9:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
