Jean Lorraine Wood Willis Jean Lorraine Wood Willis, age 84 of Millcreek Twp. passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Hamot Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel M. Willis and loving mother of Nancy Engel and her husband, Al of Telford, Pa., and Harvey Willis and his wife, Nancy of Louisville, Ky. She was the grandmother to Heidi, Allison, and Natalie Engel, and Amy and Sophie Willis. Jean was born to Eleanor and Ross Wood in Harborcreek, Pa. in 1922 and was a graduate of Harborcreek High School, Class of 1940. After attending Mercyhurst College, she was employed by Erie City Iron Works where she met her husband, Sam. She and Sam were lifetime members of Lakewood United Methodist Church. Jean was active in numerous church and community activities and served as committeewoman to get out the vote for her preferred political party and leaders. She was very involved in craft and art activities and loved to keep in touch with people on email. Relatives and friends are invited to come to calling hours on Sunday, October 7 at the Duskcas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 3856 West 10th. St. Erie, PA. 16505. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
