Thelma V. Lindsley Brower Thelma V. Lindsley Brower, age 88, of Erie, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Erie Presbyterian Lodge after an extended illness. She was born in Erie on April 18, 1920, the daughter of the late, Charles L. and Ethel Wright Lindsley. She was employed at Erie Technological Products retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. George R. C. Church and the D.A.R., and served for 20 years on the Board of Directors with the Erie T.P.E. Federal Credit Union. Thelma enjoyed taking rides in the country, gardening, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Brower, Sr., five brothers: Charles, Louis, E. Wilson, David, and Richard Lindsley. She is survived by three daughters: Paula Pontillo and her husband, Thomas, of Erie, Sharon Merhar and her husband, Carl, of Worthington, OH, Candace Warnken and her husband, Michael, of Peoria, IL., one son, William J. Brower, Jr. of Texas, one sister, Wanda Perry, of Erie, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to St. George R.C. Church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Metropolitan Erie, 202 East 10th. St. Erie, PA 16503, Kearsarge Fire Dept. 4930 West Rd. Erie, PA 16509, or to Emergicare, 1701 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16502.
