Peter Wowk Peter Wowk, age 84, went to be with his Jesus on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 after an unexpected stroke. Peter was born in the Ukraine, immigrated to Canada and after his marriage moved to Erie, PA. He is survived by his wife, Anna; his daughters, Deborah, Jeannie, and Laura, their husbands; George, Juan, and Scott respectively, his granddaughters; Jillie, Alyssa, Amber, Michaela, Alexis, and Angeling. He has joined his mother (Pestina Wowk), father (Basil Wowk), son (Peter James), mother-in-law (Aksenia Gorelikow), and father-in-law (Afanasy Gorelikow) in heaven. Peter was retired from the Millcreek Twp. School District after 15 years of service. He worshipped at First Alliance Church. Peter was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening and reading his Bible. He was a great blessing to those around him; always offering a helping hand to those in need and will be sorely missed. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Alliance Church Mission Fund, 2939 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
