Theodore "Ted" Zglinski


Theodore "Ted" Zglinski, age 88, of Fairview, formerly of Millcreek Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Erie on September 22, 1923, the son of the late Leo and Stella Szulinski Zglinski.


He was employed at Penn Brass until his retirement. He was a member of the Zukor Club, former member of St. George R.C. Church, and a current member of Holy Cross R. C. Church. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and gardening.


Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide, in 2011, two sisters; Sophie Sawicki and Virginia Allen, two brothers; Edward Zglinski and Carl Glenn. He is survived by one daughter, Chris Snook (Tom), of Lake City, one son, Craig Zglinski (June), of Timberlake, NC, one sister, Bertha Kurtz, of Fairview, five grandchildren: Aron Snook (Trisha), Amber Ballman (Ryan), David Snook, Craig David Zglinski, Jr. (Laurel), Elizabeth Daoust (Joe), three great-grandchildren; Caleb, Glenn, Nolan Snook, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. for prayers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross R. C. Church, 7100 West Ridge Rd., Fairview at 11:30 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie County VNA Hospice, 2253 West Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16509 or to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore St., Erie, PA 16505.
