Obituary of Henry Zimmer

Henry David Zimmer Henry David Zimmer, age 72, of Millcreek Twp. died Sunday, October 28, 2007 after a lengthy illness at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie on June 3, 1935, the son of the late Henry and Clara Kiehlmier Zimmer. He was employed at and retired from Smith Meter in 1996 after thirty-eight years of employment. He was a member of the Knights of St. Johns and the Sunflower Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Warden Zimmer, one daughter, Cindy Stempka and her husband, Ray of Summit Twp, three sons: David Zimmer and his wife, Lisa of Camarillo, CA, Chris Zimmer and his wife, Norma of McKean Twp., and Dean Zimmer and his companion, Kathy Krautter of Waterford Twp., 13 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren, one sister, Shirley Dovichow and three brothers: Jerry, Elmer, and Earl Zimmer all of Erie. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Winifred and Roberta Zimmer and four brothers: Robert, Bernie, Mickey, and Richard Zimmer. Friends may call at the DUSCKAS-MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private funeral service and Laurel Hill interment will be held on Wednesday.
