Obituary of Elizabeth Zimmer

Elizabeth "Betty" A. Hertner Zimmer Elizabeth "Betty" A. Hertner Zimmer, age 91, of Erie, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at The Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born in Erie on February 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lena Steinfurth Hertner. She and her late husband, Clinton H., owned and operated The Clinton Press, Inc. formerly Erie Direct Mail Service. She retired from there in 1987. She was a member of the Zonta Club of Erie II, an avid golfer in the Ladies League at Lakeview Country Club, was an avid bridge player, and pianist. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Clinton H. Zimmer, in 2000, and one brother, Robert Hertner. She is survived by two sons: Christian S. Zimmer (Mary Jo) of Indianapolis, IN., Wayne C. Zimmer (Fay) of Millcreek, four grandchildren: Melissa Zimmer of Indianapolis, IN, Kaitlyn Zimmer, of Savannah, Georgia, Wayne Zimmer, II of Philadelphia, PA, and Evan Zimmer, of Ft. Myers, FL. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday for the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev.
