Obituary of Jane Zimmerman

Jane L. Allman Zimmerman Jane L. Allman Zimmerman, age 59, of Summit Twp., died surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 27, 2009 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a courageous battle with breast cancer and leukemia. She was born on May 7, 1950, the daughter of the late Ross and Mary Wells Allman. She attained her BS Degree from Slippery Rock University and taught school in both the Ft. LeBoeuf and Millcreek Twp. School Districts teaching kindergarten through second grade. She enjoyed shopping, being with her friends and family, traveling, going to the beach and collecting beach glass, and spending time with her grandson, Luke. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Douglas "Doug" R. Zimmerman, one daughter, Bethany A. Zimmerman of Millcreek, one son, Brian L. Zimmerman of Orlando, FL, one brother, Ross Allman (Cathy) of Orlando, FL, one grandson, Luke Irvin, several nieces, and her good friends: Sandy Fessler, Jane Lightner, Janice Kramer, Bridget Allburn, and Debby Perry. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to Wayside Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
