Obituary of Edith Zurawski

Edith M. Zurawski Edith M. Zurawski, age 93 of Erie died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. She was born in Erie on December 13, 1913, the daughter of the late Jacob and Lucy Kern. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and prior to that a 40 year member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Her husband, Edward J. Zurawski of 62 years, a grandson, Richard Malatesta, two brothers, Leo Kern and Robert Kern, two sisters, Lenora Gable and Ruth Kleinhanz, preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Edward R. Zurawski and his wife, Peggy of Millcreek, a daughter, Mary Ann Malatesta and her husband, Ron of Mechanicsburg, Pa., two sisters, Irene Nick of Erie, and Helen Bonnimineo of Calif., nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace School, 2401 West 38th St. Erie, PA 16506.
