Frank J. DePaul, age 92, of Erie, passed away on July 8, 2013 at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. He was born on April 19, 1921, the son of the late Joseph and Grace Alessi DePaul. He was raised in the St. Joseph Orphanage. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Pacific Theater and received the Bronze Star. Frank operated the "Big Fish" at 6th and Peninsula Dr., the concession stands at Veterans Stadium, and at the Public Dock. He also opened a second hand store called, "ABC Store". He was preceded in death by three brothers: Russell, Sam, and Mike, four sisters: Mary Cantoni, Josephine DeNardo, Rose, and Bess DePaul. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Angel) Wolfe DePaul, sons; James and John (Lisa) DePaul, grandsons; Mitchell, Joseph, and Matt DePaul, and great-grandson, Anthony. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Bill Wolfe (friend, Doris Murphy), sister-in-law, Carol Messina, and nephews; David Messina and Bill Wolfe. The family would like to thank the staff at the Soldiers and Sailors Home for the wonderful care they gave to Frank. So take a moment and include Frank in your prayers. Private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
