R. Mae Cunningham
Retired Nutritional Supervisor at Metro Health Hospital
Mae was born in Maryland In 1930 and died at St. Mary's East on July 13, 2013. She was the daughter of the late, T.J. Lingaton and R.M. Clarke-Cerirello. Mae attended Bradford, PA schools. She was a member of the Siebenbuerger Ladies' Auxiliary, a former member of St. Peter's Cathedral, and a member of St. Julia's R.C. Church.
Mae was employed in the Nutritional Dept. at Metro Health Hospital until her retirement in 1992. She and her husband, Jim, enjoyed traveling and visiting FL. She also enjoyed using her computer, iPad and iPod, creating crafts, and playing cards with neighbors at St. Joseph's Apartments.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick, after 54 years of marriage; her brothers, Sonny and Teddy Lingaton, her sister, Theresa Bunker and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Cunningham Ames.
Survivors include her son, James P. Cunningham, and his wife, Kelly; daughter, Linda M. Corsi, and her husband, Michael, all of Erie; daughter, Pamela Cunningham Bracken and her husband, Dale, of Athens, GA; daughter, Deborah J. Cunningham, and her companion, Joseph Kahlert, of Tampa, FL; two grandsons, Anthony (Tony) Cunningham, and Nicholas Corsi and his fiance, Maria; sister, Helen Morrison, of Bradford, PA, brother, John Lingaton, brother-in-law; Bill Cunningham and his wife, Pat; sister-in-law, Dorothy Cunningham, of Atlanta, GA, several nieces and nephews, longtime pal, Dora Zimmer, and many friends. Mae was grateful for her friendship and the medical care given to her by Dr. Edward Janis.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
