Obituary of Sherrye Everett

Sherrye A. Everett, age 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Oil City, PA on January 27, 1943, the daughter of the late, Beverly W. Lewis. She was a 1961 graduate of Moon High School, Coraopolis, PA and attended Allegheny College in Meadville. For ten years Sherrye owned and operated Kristos Hamburger Haven on 26th Street in Erie. She loved to entertain and always wowed her many friends and family with fabulous meals and generous hospitality. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. Sherrye was also a volunteer at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center and the Brig Niagara League. She enjoyed a variety of activities including: golf, antiquing, and gardening. She is survived by her beloved mate, Chas Baumbach, sisters; Debbie and Vickie, one brother, Robert, one niece, nephews, and many, many friends. The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers at the Regional Cancer Center and Great Lakes Hospice for their unwavering support. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. for Sherrye's Celebration of Life. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
