Obituary of Dona Hadberg

Dona M. Thompson Hadberg, age 81, of Fairview, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on April 11, 1932 in Erie, the daughter of the late, George and Estelle Walls Thompson. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Temple #140. She enjoyed her grandchildren, bird watching, reading, and her computer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hadberg in 2006, one son-in-law, Glenn Winkler, two brothers; Edward and Robert Thompson, and one sister, Georgeta Taylor. Dona is survived by two daughters; Charlotte Winkler of Venango Twp., Diane Hadberg, of Fairview, one son, David E. Hadberg (Frances) of Erie, four grandchildren: Richard and Tina Winkler, Francine Gordon and Kathryn Gray, four great-grandchildren: Tye and Kamron Williams, Brent and Natalie Gordon, one sister, Charlotte Haggerty of Millcreek, and many dear friends, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 until time of service at 8:30 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505 or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
