Obituary of Myrna Brown

Please share a memory of Myrna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Myrna E. Brown Amazing Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma & Friend Myrna E. Brown, 80, of Erie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Saint Vincent Health System. She was born on November 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Norabel (Conrad) Kuntz. Myrna was committed to living and loving to the fullest. Her family was the most important thing to her and she delighted in family gatherings and holidays, when everyone was together. She was always quick to offer help, lend a hand, share with those in need or be an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on if that's what was needed. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed just about every kind of craft imaginable. Her family used to joke about the saying "She who dies with the most crafts wins"… she won a long time ago. Above all else, her relationship with the Lord was paramount to how she lived her life. She was committed to serving in her church and mission work and being a light to those around her, always wanting to share her faith with others. She taught Sunday school for several years at Christ United Methodist Church and most recently attended North Coast Christian Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Brown, in 2010, two sisters Jolene Amann and Anna Marie Clark, one brother, Jay Kuntz, an infant daughter, and twin sons. Myrna is survived by her children, Gretchen E. Armes of Erie, Rebecca S. Klopp, of Waterford, Jeffrey Klopp (wife Linda) of California and Eric Klopp of Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew (wife Kelly) of West Virginia, Meghan Armes, Pittsburgh, Pa., Molly Armes, Rochester, N.Y., Christina Moore (Michael), Jennifer Moore (Matthew) and Michelle Klopp, all of California, and great grandchildren, Rosie and Caleb Armes and Adalyn Moore. She is further survived by her step-children, Karen Maker (Peter), Cheryl Brown, Louise Berger (Jim), all of Erie, Gary Brown (Sandy) of Minnesota and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank so many family and friends for their faithful, fervent prayers on Myrna's behalf and for the caring staff at Saint Vincent Health System for their compassion and kindness during this difficult time. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate her life on Saturday, from 2-5 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, 4216 Sterrettania Road. A funeral service will be held on Monday at Christ United Methodist Church at 32nd and Zuck Rds at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Coast Christian Fellowship, P O Box 189, North East, PA 16428. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
