Obituary of Danean Delinski

Danean Fittante Blinzler Delinski, age 48, of Millcreek Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at UPMC- Hamot after an extended illness. She was born in Salem, OH, the daughter of Thomas A. and Beverly Arthurs Fittante, of New Waterford, OH. She was a graduate of Crestview High School, Columbiana, OH, class of 1983, and then Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from Carlow University with a certification in Wound/Ostomy/Stoma Therapy and Hospice Nursing. She was employed for 21 years as a registered nurse at SVHC and VNA of Erie County. She was recently employed as Director of Clinical Services and Hospice Coordinator for Asera Care in Erie, but in 2007 she suffered from failed back surgery resulting in her disability.
Danean was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan; namely the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and enjoyed watching and attending games with her family. She enjoyed music, singing, reading, and being with friends and family.
She married the love of her life, Brian L. Delinski, on December 8, 2001. She is survived by her parents, husband, two children; Mikayla and Anthony Blinzler, paternal grandmother, Cecilia Fittante, one brother, Thomas Fittante (Melissa), and their daughter, Eliana, of Mansfield, OH, sisters-in-law; Laura Delinski, Sarah D. Osborne, one brother-in-law, Paul Delinski, one mother-in-law, Donna E. Delinski, as well as, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willard and Ruth Arthurs, paternal grandfather, Anthony Fittante, and her father-in-law, Thadeus M. Delinski.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. and are invited there on Friday for the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home for a Scholarship Fund for her children or to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater PA Chapter, 1128 State St., Erie, PA 16501
