Obituary of Mary Peters

Mary Louise Hanes Peters, 75, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Erie on July 05, 1938, daughter of the late, Thomas Hanes and Louise Hess Hanes Schillinger. She is survived by her daughters; Tamara Peters, partner, Joyce Tinsman, and granddaughter, Brianna Smith, of Erie, Melinda Peters, partner, David Kabat, and granddaughter, Madison Eve Kabat, of CA. She is also survived by a brother, Tom Hanes and his wife, Mili, Erie, sister, Donna Daley, of Boston, Aunt Neddy Weber, and sister-in-law, Peggy Hanes. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Jack Peters and his wife, Ann of Bergen, NY, and sister-in-law, Dolores Peters Gibb and her husband, George, of Buena Park, CA, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Peters, an infant daughter, Pamela, and her parents. Viewing will be held at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
