Danielle S. Lizeroux Lei, age 75, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born on October 4, 1938 in Saigon, Vietnam, the daughter of the late, Daniel and Ms. Le. Danielle obtained her baccalaureate degree in 1964 and worked for the French Consulate in Saigon, teaching French. She received her Bachelor's Degree in French from Gannon College and taught French at Cathedral Prep, Villa, and was a private tutor. She attended St. Peter's Cathedral, the Vietnamese Church Community, and was baptized Greek Orthodox. She was very artistic and loved to paint.
She is survived by one sister, Marie Foussard of Roven, France, one daughter, Mary-Helen Combitchi Russell Wentzell (Shawn) of Millcreek Twp., one son, Dr. Daniel Combitsis (Renee) of Livermore, CA, four grandchildren: Danielle, Thomas, Jordan, and Annelyse. She is also survived by her former husband, Nicholas Combitchi of Millcreek Twp., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Kim.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and are invited there on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. T. Nacopoulos. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie International Institute, 517 East 26th Street, Erie, PA 16504.
