Obituary of Genevieve Vogt

Genevieve Kreider Vogt, age 90, of Erie, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Millcreek Community Hospital. She was born in Erie on March 18, 1923, the daughter of the late, Oliver and Nellie Dreier Kreider. She was a life-long Erie resident and was a member of Elmwood Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Vogt. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Owen (Richard) of Lynchburg, VA, two sons; Edward H. Vogt (Janet) of Springboro, PA, Ronald O. Vogt (Linda) of Erie, one sister, Marjorie Barber of North East, PA, one brother, Wilbur Kreider of Erie, three grandsons: Timothy and Thomas Vogt and Justin Owen, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Genevieve was preceded in death by one son, LeRoy Kreider, three sisters: Charlotte Kochis, Daisy Wilcox, Kathryn Robertson, and two brothers; Norton and Charles Kreider.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday for the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment Erie Cemetery.
