Obituary of Jean Petzold

Jean Mae Day Deuel Petzold, age 88, passed away January 24, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Buffalo, NY to Margaret Regal Day and Howard Day on March 28, 1925. She moved to Erie as a young child and has since been a life-long resident of Erie. She and her late husband, (Bob Petzold) were very active in the American Legion and the Military Order of the Cootie.
Jean is survived by her children: Yvonne Deuel of St. Petersburg, FL, Ivy (Deuel) Kretz of Sherman, NY, Yvette (Deuel) Freeman of State College, PA, Kevin Deuel of Harborcreek, and Craig Deuel of St. Petersburg, FL. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service and inurnment at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
