Obituary of Beatrice Holliday

Beatrice "Bea" M. Haskell Holliday of Erie and North Springfield passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Manchester Commons. She was born in St. Louis, MO on June 11, 1919 the daughter of the late George and Christine Kirchner Haskell. Along with her husband and son, Bea operated and co-owned Peggy Gray Candies until her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Holliday (1993), two sisters; Viola Lightner, June Oppeau, and one brother. She is survived by three children: Rev. Dr. William "Skip" G. Holliday (Sally) of Concord, CA, Patricia A. Wilson (Dennis) of Tucson, AZ, Jonathan H. Holliday (Melinda) of N. Springfield, PA, one sister-in-law, Sigrid Holliday of Rochester, NY, four grandchildren: Ryan and Aaron Holliday, Scott and Bryan Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service there at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Re. Dr. Sang K. Choi and the Rev. J. Howard Wright. Private interment will be held at Springfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presque Isle Rotary, PO Box 8151, Erie, PA 16505.
