Obituary of Edward Kubinski

Edward J. Kubinski, Sr. age 92, of Millcreek Twp., died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. He was born on May 25, 1921 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Walter and Sophie Franczkowski Kubinski. He was a life-long Erie area resident. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He was President of Kubinski Business Systems until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed playing basketball in the Erie City League, volleyball, golf, and tennis. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Dorothy Krotoszynski Kubinski, his 2nd wife, Veronica Tercho Kubinski, and his 3rd wife, Eleanor Walczak Kubinski. He is survived by one daughter, Janice Kubinski of High Point, NC, three sons: Edward J. Kubinski (Cynthia) of Millcreek, Howard M. Kubinski (Joanne) of Millcreek, Richard W. Kubinski (fiancé, Aelita Cubberly) of Houston, Texas, one sister, Helen Cancilla (Paul) of Erie, one brother, Walter Kubinski of Erie, seven grandchildren: Stephen Kubinski (Jessica), Andrew Kubinski (Rachel), Elise Carey (Matthew), Lauren Kubinski (fiancé, Eric Shaffer), Anthony Peters, Daniel Kubinski, and Nicole Peters, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Monday, February 24 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Trinity Cemetery.
