Dorothy "Dottie" Irene Gottschling Walker age 84, of North Fort Myers, FL, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
Dottie was born in Erie on February 15, 1930 to Carl A. Gottschling and Margaret A. Diemert Gottschling.
She worked for Kmart Foods as a cashier and retired from Loblaws as a deli clerk. She was a member of the Siebenbuerger Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards with friends and putting on the golf green at Six Lakes Country Club in FL as well as spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, John M. Hamilton and longtime companion, Harry Bovee. She is survived by one son, James C. Hamilton (Kathy) of Edinboro, PA, two daughters; Jean M. Davis (Bill) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Judith A. Camper (Larry) of Montgomery Village, MD, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons.
A Memorial Service at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. will be announced at a later date.
