John Paul Ratay was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 3, 1951, the son of the late John and Maria Ratay. John passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his residence. He resided in Edinboro with his wife of 42 years, Gayle Hopkins Ratay. He is survived by one son, John M. Ratay (Amy) and his beloved granddaughter, Abigayle Ratay. Also surviving are four brothers: Daniel, Timothy, Kenneth, and Gary Ratay. He loved people, animals, and life. John wanted private services conducted by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
