Lisa M. Burnett

Lisa M. Burnett, age 4 1, of Union City died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Abington Crest Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born on August 16, 1967, the daughter of Eleanor A. Wolf Burnett of Erie and the late Lawrence L. Burnett. She was employed as a customer service representative for seventeen years at Erie Insurance Group. She enjoyed county music concerts and just last Thursday spoke on the telephone with Toby Keith who wished her well. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing, and the N.Y. Giants. She enjoyed volunteering through Erie Insurance with its adopted school, Pfieffer Burleigh.

Besides her mother, Lisa is survived by her husband, James C. Blum, two children, Justin and Alesia Blum, two sisters, Sister Sylvia Burnett of Girard, Gloria Burnett of Erie, one brother, John Burnett (Barbara) of Erie, a brother-in-law, Tim Blum (Cheryl) of Erie, mother and father-in-law, Carl and Patricia Blum of Mill Village, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and one great nephew. One brother, Lawrence Burnett and one niece, Kaitlyn T. Blum, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Andrew Deskevich. Interment Waterford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
