Obituary of Richard Campbell

Richard L. "Dick" Campbell of McKean Twp. passed away quietly Friday, February 14, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West with his family by his side. Richard was born in Marshall County West Virginia April 12, 1930, the son of Jehu Elberto and Della Beryl Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was employed with National Fuel Gas in Erie for 25 years, as a Field Services Engineer retiring in 1933. Richard was also a past Supervisor and Road Foreman for 25 years in Cranberry Twp. Mr. Campbell was also a professional land surveyor and operated a property surveying business in the Oil City and Erie area for many years; specializing in oil and gas field engineering.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife Patricia Kerr, whom he married on August 15, 1950. They were members of Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City are current members of Christ United Methodist Church in Erie. He is also survived by their four children: James and Doris of Erie, David R. and Denise of Church Hill, Tennessee, Julie Ann and Terry Topor of Edinboro, Tim and Beth Anne of Virginia Beach, Virginia, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Bissett and two brothers; Kermit and Phillip.
Mr. Campbell and Patricia are respected members of the community and have many friends and relatives in the Erie and Oil City areas.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by sisters: Mary, Wilda, Ruth, and Evelyn and brothers; William, Ronald and Fred.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. in Erie, PA. A private service will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Johns officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial gardens in Cranberry Twp., PA.
